Trataka Workshop
Venue: Anandabodh Yoga Centre
Develop Steadiness Through Trataka (One pointed gaze)
Trataka is a traditional yogic practice commonly taught through steady gazing at a chosen point or candle flame. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the method in a calm, guided setting and learn how to approach the practice without strain.
The session can include an explanation of the practice, a guided experience, time for reflection and practical advice for continuing safely. The emphasis should be on attentive practice and awareness rather than making guaranteed claims about eyesight, concentration or medical outcomes.
What participants will experience
- An introduction to the purpose and traditional context of Trataka.
- Guided practice with clear instructions.
- How to approach gaze, posture and attention without forcing the eyes.
- Time for questions, reflection and guidance on personal practice.
Who may attend
Adults interested in meditation and concentration practices. People with eye conditions, significant eye discomfort, photosensitivity or other relevant concerns should seek suitable professional advice and follow the instructor's precautions.
